Maybe someone should have…

Nobody told me, life could be so hard,
I look back, and there were times I was scarred.
We must learn from our mistakes, so I was told,
So our future in front of us, can unfold.

Enjoy your life, while you are young, my mum used to say
And I always tried to, each and every day.
School days are the best, so many friends,
We always vowed we would be until the end.

But nobody told me, we would all go seperate ways,
Lose track of the fun, those long summer days.
Alll the careless whispers, long since gone,
Our childhood dreams, all went wrong,

Nobody told me, life could come crumbling down,
We all had our dreams, that could’nt make us frown,
But it seems those days have all disappeared,
Once again I sit alone……as I always feared.

No one knows how life will turn out. It is what you do with it that matters. You have expressed your feelings so well in this poem.

Very nicely written. Very true…as elayaraja said, life is full of uncertainities. We must learn to cope up with it.

I just hope you are the sole survivor! As each day passes, we learn we are naturally single! I imagine God gives us all a chess board! As time goes on, we start to loose the pieces–untill they are all gone! Sad! We did not invent the Universe–only inherited it–if you know what I mean!
