It was noise in the silence that broke my rest

A loud noise I did not expect

It rocked my foundation and surprised me

There was no direction

It seem to come from everywhere

Noise and silence do not mix

I did not enjoy what needs to be fix

The feeling I felt was fright

Because it happen in the dark night

I was at a moment of needed rest

At this time I am at my best

My response was not kind or polite

It made me mad because it was not right

To wake me in a silence state

It was rude and thoughtless mate

I tried to regain my earlier rest

To forget the sudden noise in the silence

But the mind does not forget easily

Only time can erase this uneasiness

So if you are awake and others are not

Remember how it would feel to be woken

Meanness given can sometimes return

Avoid creating a loud noise in the silence
