Be nice to others.

Norman the Lion is my name,

I am strong and full of energy,

Full of curiosity I do as I want,

Being into everyone’s business is my game,

I know everything about everyone,

You see this is a small jungle and I am the king.

Pete the Parrot likes to repeat everything I say,

George the Giraffe is always looking down on the other animals,

Sam the Skunk needs a bath pronto,

Do you want to give it to him?

I love my life as king of the jungle,

I roar for whatever I want,

Animals are here to serve me,

Are you here to serve me also?

My head hurts terribly today,

I yelled at Pete the Parrot to shut up,

Didn’t care if his feeling got hurt or not,

Oh, he got, so mad at me.

Would you have?

He went over to the edge of the circle to sit down,

With his back turned to me,

I knew then I had done wrong,

I knew what I had to do,

Do you?

With my head hanging low,

My eyes focused on the ground,

I went over to him and said,

“I am, so sorry, Pete

My head hurts terribly today

And I know that is no excuse for being rude to you.

I am, so sorry, Pete”

Would you accept my apologies if I had yelled at you like I did Pete the Parrot

I read this story to my neice and nephew They really liked it and learning something at the end was an added bonus. They told their parents about the story that the lion said sorry when he did something wrong. Keep up the good work!
