A nosy neighbor making up stories about her next door neighbor.
The woman looked out of the window
She had nothing better to do
She watched the couple opposite
With a frown she looked for a clue
What are they doing, what are they up to
Are they having another big row
God how I wish I could hear them
I mean what are they up to now.
First she comes in and then goes out
Then he does exactly the same
Is there some big secret their keeping
I want to know what is their game
I reckon its her with the Milkman
Or it could be him with next door
Oh I wish I could hear their talking
Oh I think he just called her a whore
I must call and tell old Freda
I knew it was her up to no good
He must be suffering poor bugger
I can tell by the way he is stood
No wait he is smiling up at her
And she is there as bold as brass
Oh just wait till I tell old Freda
That hussy just ain’t got no class
She swans around like a duchess
And him he’s so meek and so quiet
Just look at the state of the minger
She really should go on a diet
I will wait till she’s gone and go see him
And tell him if he needs a friend
I will listen and let him unburden
And to him my shoulder will lend
I knew if I bided my time
And waited for the moment to come
He would see her for what she is
And then to me he’d succumb
I will hug him and make him feel wanted
And give him a great big kiss
And by the time I have finished
Then her he would not miss
Well I don’t believe what I heard
Freda has told me tonight
The couple I have watched for so long
Were not really having a fight
It turns out that they were disputing
Whose turn was it to do the next shift
They are brother and sister not lovers
