Cool poetry.

You have stared me down with your eyes

because we do not share one similarity

the color of our skin

but white man, we share many other things

My blood is red like yours

And my heart pumps at the same rate

But one thing is I didn’t misunderstand

That I a black man, am still

A living, breathing, human being

Who can be intelligent and can conform to society

The society where we my kind are treated like any kind

So do not judge me by the color of my skin

Judge me in the most just way possible

Where I am determined from my character

Than the color of my indifferent skin
