A poem about having a cold.

My head is pounding my muscles ache.

Wish it would give me a brake,

hot and cold my body is so confused.

My body knows it’s going to lose.

Lotions and potions,

to sweat it out.

Taking them with a common doubt.

Is there a cure?

I will just have to injure.

My man size tissues,

for my nose with it’s issues.

With people saying constant bless yous.

Best of all they wont come near me at all.

Standing at arms length suddenly going tense,

when i sneeze I like to share,

but sometimes it’s more than they can bear.

Think I will just stay in bed,

with the covers over my head.

This is easier said than done I am a mum.

My world depends on me,

can’t it see.

I wish it would hurry up and let me be.
