A poem about a love that does not strengthen the heart but makes it disappear.

My heart was full and big

You took it in your strong hands

I foolishly felt safe within your world

But comfort is misleading

Words…unspoken words…

Actions…missed opportunties…

Hurt feelings…bitter arguments…

Interwined in the happiness of love

Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly

Unnoticeably, unnoticeably, unnoticeably

Began chipping away at my heart

Til my heart had been chisseled to a cold shell

That finally broke into millions of pieces

Love must end

When there is no heart left
