Nothing Will Separate Us

To the land to the sea
It is all in front of me
On the beach in the sand
It has all gone on as planned

I love you ever minute
Life is grand with you in it
Just a smile from your face
Is my daily saving grace

Outside the world is cold
But I am warm, and when all is told
I will not be bitter when I am old
and I will not be better when I’m old
and I will not be bought and sold

Like so many out there who who are abused
Beaten, mistreated and badly used
No, I have been blessed
Even more than I would have guessed

So here’s a poem for you dear
For you to read whether far or near
I live for you with every breath
Nothing will separate us, not even death.
