This one, a theory about the treasure of Oak Island, (which just happens to be in Nova Scotia, my home province) was inspired by Writing Challenge #3 held by Duff D. Moss. The words for inclusion in this challenge were feather and velvet glove. Hope you all like it.
I’m the richest pirate ‘round.
No one else has ever found
the treasure of Oak Isle;
all of it is safe-and-sound.
I’m the smartest pirate here.
I’m the only privateer
to find gold on Oak Isle;
I am Witty’s pioneer.
I’m the clever corsair-cat
with the feather in his hat
who brought you to Oak Isle;
you’re the ones I’m laughing at.
Don’t you see? There’s nothing there!
I have hid the gold elsewhere;
it’s not beneath Oak Isle.
No one else will find out where.
I’m the bounty’s buccaneer
in gloves of velvet, musketeer
and treasurer of Oak Isle;
I’m the grandest puppeteer.
I’m the richest pirate ‘round.
No one else has ever found
the treasure of Oak Isle;
all of it is safe-and-sound.
