A "Minute poem" on the current Occupy Wall Street (and elsewhere) Protest and Movement.

A Minute poem is a rhyming verse consisting of 12 lines in iambic meter with three stanzas of 8,4,4,4 syllables. The rhyme scheme is aabb, ccdd, eeff.

A time of change is drawing nigh:

we occupy–

outcry the lies

that trades devise.

This public’s business will dispute:

“Do not refute

our voices bold;

truth must be told.”

This don’t portend an argument

with government–

all unify,

so they’ll think: ‘why?’

    Great topic for a poem. I have been working on some myself for the occupy movement, but mine will likely fit into the Repressionist stuff I have been working on. Great job on this though. Your style really presents itself well in this poem.
