Rekindled friendship in prose.

Drowning in the depths,
Of an emotional past,
I reach out to you,
As never before.

The stars above us shine,
Moonlit water just beneath,
As we open up,
The book of yesterday.

The fear of what lies ahead,
Fills me so very deeply tonight,
As I am reminded of,
An age-old ocean of tears.

But I will not falter,
For you are here beside me now,
The seas have become as tranquil,
As the eye of a raging storm.

And our newfound friendship,
Like an ocean sunrise,
Boasts a beautiful horizon,
In the velvet dew of morn.
