Thinking of my life and times.
O’ Cock why didn’t you crow?
O’ Clock why didn’t you tick?
locking away the stint of time
in prisons of a notable past
though it drags and thrives to unveil
it still trails on its former rail
but someday the bells will jingle
louder than the cock and the clock
and will raise the eyebrows of heaven
and valour from the dimple of the sun
the slumbering eyes shall sparkle
and the flood light will give strength
