The poem “October” has a theme like every other poem. The theme of this poem is the month of October. The author of the poem Robert Frost talks about what the trees look like during this month. The line “Release one leaf at break of day; at noon release another leaf;” meaning that the leaves fall from trees during October. Another line that proves that the theme of this poem is about October is the line” O hushed October morning mild”. This line means that October mornings are cool, cold, and quiet. The line “Tomorrow’s wind, if it be wild, Should waste them all” also proves that the theme of this poem is October. The line says that when the strong wind of October comes tomorrow it will knock out all the leaves on the trees that are there right now. The theme of the poem “October” is the month of October.

The poem is calm because of the time of day the poem takes place in. in this poem the time of day is in the morning. Another reason why this poem is calm is because the author choses calm words like hushed. The tone in this poem is calm.
