A poem on the beautiful changes and colors that presents themselves in Autumn.

October Sky  -  Susan Varo 10/9/00

Splashes of fiery colors

Flaming leaves top the trees

Halloween fills the air

Riding on the autumn breeze

A sparkle of a star hangs close

Next to a golden coin moon

Positioned in the twilight sky

About a quarter past noon

October sky I have seen your glory

The raging sky that you wield

A stream of clouds marching through

A blue majestic open field

Now past your harvest moon

The colors no longer match

The greens of summer gone long ago

Become the orange of a pumpkin patch

October sky unlike November

Or April May or June

You come and go so quickly

You come but go too soon
