You were there like a laughter of a child when I needed just a smile,

Suddenly the sun shines for a while.

Everywhere, I look I see my friend,

My angel, my god send, to the very end.

I was alone in the dark before I met you,

You took my hand and showed me you loved me.

A gentle resplendent that felt so sublime,

A gift of hope set in infinite time.

You became the book that I read you back,

You became the song that I sing.

With you my friend I nothing lack,

I thank you Oh Lord!! For bringing it back.

Sometimes it seems when life’s falling through,

I close my eyes and I think f you.

Your tender thoughts sweet lessons of strength do rain,

To gently soothe and take away the pain.

You’re like the potter and I am the clay,

You taught me and  moulded me to what I am today.

You took me in a time ship,

Into the deepest recesses of my mind,

To rediscover my mission,

My heart, mind and soul to find.

You caressed me and nurtured me with a heart so true,

I rediscovered myself all because of you.

Such a gift of friendship so blessed and so divine,

A tribute from nature that I am proud to call mine.

My dearest friend so loving and true,

You made me look at life brand new.

I was afraid to make a friend in time,

‘Cause I was burnt and hurt the last time.

You taught me that I had nothing to fear,

You were there to guide me and wipe away each tear.

You’ve been there through my darkest hour,

You’ve held me through my deepest despair.

Made me bloom again like a beautiful flower,

Just with your smile and you’re being there.

This is my Ode to my best friend,

I pray this friendship will never end.

You are my jewel in my precious crown,

Who helps me up when I’m feeling down.

You are a  bright star  in my galaxy,

Three in my emblem, for all to see.

Stranger, Stranger, this Ode’s for you,

With all my heart, I truly love you.
