A little ditty offering a wry look at the contents of your email.
I open up my email
And the inbox starts to cram
With friends I never knew I had
And most of it is spam
There’s a little note from Adam
To let me know that when I’m ill
That he’s got all the meds I need
Wrapped up in one small pill
A kindly line from Marsha
Thanks for being such a mate
She’ll let me have some software
At a mega discount rate
It’s urgent that the bookstore
Recommends these things for me
If I hurry up and spend more cash
Something might be free
Despite all those great offers
And things that I might win
Just one small click and off they go
To my recycle bin
In all it’s disappointing
‘Cos right there at the end
The mail that filled my inbox
Was never from my friends
