I spent six weeks in a veterans hospital and the nurses were angels.
Nurse, oh nurse, the angel you are
Surely makes you a bright shining star
The compassion and love you have is unending
Whilst young and old vets are mending
You do your job out of love of life
Never seen is your personal strife
We awake to a smile and drift off to one too
All we can say is “we love you”
