The seduction of doubt.
Fog of unbelief fades a worried mind
As doubt is but fire, burning with envy
For With tangled roots it keeps and binds
Keeping sure watch with prevalent sentry
It’s always so seeking, looking to find
Another lone soul lost, gaining a forced entry
Another life lured, contract left unsigned
Something seductive, so elementary
All awhile, the strength of faith does wane
Our single torch is growing so low
Can you recall the bearer of our pain?
His name do only the few faithful still know?
And though many may wander through the night;
You still stand beside me, holding the light.
