The poem is based on the feelings of a child who finds love and grows with it only to find it all a dream, transcient and fake. Reality is unveiled and the child who is now grown up realises the futility and imprecision of love.

When I came to know you I was a little child ,

I could see my future and dreams all alive , all awake ,

In your eyes was my sea of faith , the faith so chaste and innocent ,

In the closeness of your touch , the oneness abound ,

I felt so tranquil , which seemed so real yet so fake ,

Your presence was my desire , filled with awe and beauty alike ,

You made me feel the warmth of day , yet numbness covered all so stale ,

I lie like a corpse , unknown , unwanted and redundant ,

Every hour , minute and second , waiting and waiting the aura ,

’tis not late , I found you , reality unveiled , you are lost forever , in the deadness

of my dreams and desire , so true , so lively and vibrant .

It’s too bad we all have to grow up and face life as it is.

This definitely describes our naive misconceptions of love, but love never abandons anyone, people do .
