About the frustration of how our freedom is restricted by rules.
I pray to be exempt from life’s constraint.
It destroys the minds of the human race.
Oh, to abduct the freedom of a saint.
From baby, we accept the strangling taint
Of mandates laid down at a chilling pace.
I pray to be exempt from life’s constraint.
So called wisdom invites us to acquaint
The dos and don’ts of the world’s selfish race.
Oh, to abduct the freedom of a saint.
Undo the shackles of prison’s restraint.
Let me swim to the dolphins’ boundless place.
I pray to be exempt from life’s constraint.
Can I flee a world that is far from quaint?
Escape the screws chocking my unique place.
Oh, to abduct the freedom of a saint.
No-one to accept my sincere complaint
About the raping of my helpless grace.
I pray to be exempt from life’s constraint.
Oh, to abduct the freedom of a saint.
