I hope my writing is being seen by people that enjoy it and not just on a click for click basis. Comments & views encourage me & I would hate to think that I am living in a false bubble.

How right you are. There are many good writers on this site and I am sure that those who are not so good yet are learning all the time. A very good read.

I think good writing does speak for itself and most tricks that are not backed my good articles only enjoy one or two short bursts and then the writer’s are sunk.
