Surely we should be aiming at good writing to increase views, not cunning tricks?

Good writing pleads to be read,

Excites the reader,

engages the senses and emotions.

Good writing tempts the reader,

with a lingering desire

to keep reading.

Good writing attracts a following

and readers eagerly

wait for more.

Good writing speaks for itself.

very well said Val & excellently crafted to prove the point! As you know I am fairly new to Triond so I am only just learning about the activities that actually go on! I hope my writing is being seen by people that enjoy it and not just on a click for click basis. Comments & views encourage me & I would hate to think that I am living in a false bubble.

How right you are. There are many good writers on this site and I am sure that those who are not so good yet are learning all the time. A very good read.

Val I really liked this it was original and made a valid point, now this is good writing, and if it is at all any good it will be read.

I think good writing does speak for itself and most tricks that are not backed my good articles only enjoy one or two short bursts and then the writer’s are sunk.
