About love and deception.

She was bathing in the river
How beautiful she was
As he sat and watched her
he fell in love
She stepped out of the water
And he came to her aid
She had never seen him before
He was handsome indeed.
They spent their days and nights
together never parting much at all
He wanted her for his bride
and one day he went away
for he had fooled her you see
His true self was the devil himself
Red with a forked tongue indeed
She went to look for him and came upon him you see
When he knew what she had done
He was enraged
He made her old as a hag
And told her she would forever
Search for her beauty for all eternity
So now when you go to Old Womens Bend
you may see her you see
for she is looking for her beauty
and may take it from you indeed.
