Breathing after healing.

Thank you for giving me my breath back.

It left me somewhere under the stars and air-o-planes.

I gasped to deeply seeing your radiant skin under neon illumination,

                       a fakeness in maroon illustration,

my breath flew across the nation.

I stood intoxicated in your manly presence,

my femininity completed with with your essence.

The entirety of my dreams clutched in the palm of your hand,

my dreams were nothing but grains of sand,

being drained into pavement below your feet.

I confused your illustrious eyes with promises,

waiting for your perfect love and echoes of empty kisses.

An embodiment of perfect love,

your affection’s, the water bound by whales and space.

I had to let it all go.

I had to see past the bricks over my eyes.

I say without an utterance of loss,

thank You for giving me my breath back
