When all the world seemed to be in exactly the right place and for once I felt peace…

All that is known between us
is deeply set within the delicate folds of brilliant
   autumnal gold.
The oncoming forests of ivory and dark shadow
have been lightened by this promise.

A promise, that will return as surely as this blessed
   season,
with the dance of candle flame,
and red orange sparks in crisply stinging air,
brilliantly carved out by perfectly unbroken silver
and gossamer strands hung like webs
   upon the crescent moon.

So I will bury this seal of ours
in the frigid soil once more,
    blessed by a sweet kiss,
to be reborn when the harvest fields
form before us like ribbons of hope
and we are left once more to breath freely
until the next night falls again…
