This poem is about a thunder storm in the middle of the night, and a babies struggle trying to sleep.

Drip, drop, thunder pops.

Sounds of rain flood my brain.

It’s cold and wet and it’s not done yet.

It is dark outside while lightening sparks.

Whoosh, woosh, woosh

The wind makes roaring sounds.

As 20 foot trees fall to the ground.

Shhhhhhh.

The baby wakes up with all the noise.

Her mom goes and gets her one of her toys.

The baby cries with the loud signs of rain.

Her poor mother feels like she’s going insane.

                                                                Hush hush hush

The last raindrops fall.

The baby finally stops crying after all.
