A poem about a walk with my son when he found a butterfly.
I watch as you follow me,
like a little duckling behind me.
Stopping only to explore.
You’re little exited sequels I can not ignore.
You have found something that you,
were not looking for.
You’re eyes sparkle with delight,
as you hold you’re treasurer with all you’re might.
You are a loveable sight,
full of fun, happiness, and light.
I see you’re face begin to change,
unsure of what to do.
You look up at me hands held high.
You look up towards the sky.
You know what to do so let it fly.
It tickled mummy,
it felt funny.
You follow the butterfly,
with you’re wide open eyes,
you watch it as it flies.
We both shout out our goodbyes..
