The magic of the eve of winter.

On A Winter’s Eve

By Joshua Tchaou

White powder full of ice

Falling from the heavens above

Their coldness freezing in a thrice

Making the landscape a hazy blanket

On a winter’s eve….

Dogs clawing at their master’s door

To escape the chilling

And the snow galore

The freezing winds and the pouring hail

On a winter’s eve…..

Children riding sleds

Disrupting its blank beauty

Shouting as they sped

Enjoying the numbing sand

On a winter’s eve……

Juveniles tossing balls of frozen water

That breaks on contact with their targets

The children wishing it was quite hotter

While running around stiffly

On a winter’s eve……

What is this wonder?

That knows no limit bounds

As strong as roaring and thunder

And showers its rain of domination

On a winter’s eve……

People love to play in it

While many everlastingly sleep in it

But one happy cheer follows it

Merry Christmas to all

On a winter’s eve……
