November fifth is bonfire night
The skies above are all alight.
Guy Fawkes lived once upon a time
And tried to commit such a terrible crime.
He tried to pull an incredible stunt
And blow up the houses of parliament.
So on this date now every year
We have a display of fireworks and cheer.
We build a bonfire wide and high
And on the top we sit our guy.
Once the fire is burning bright
We watch the fireworks while it’s night.
Pretty displays light up the sky,
And all because of our friend Guy.
