This is a description of the emotions and scenario that accompany a ferris wheel ride.
On the whirling gigantic ferris wheel
In the milling, boisterous ,crowded fair
With friends, lovers, children and families
Riding in gaiety as they sit squealing
In fear and delight of adventure
And laughing to hide the rising wave of terror
Dawning in the pallor of scared faces
Their throats parched, licking dried lips
They hold tight at the rod in front
With clenched knuckles showing white
Balloons soaring up at whim in azure skies
Pass them on their ride as they ascend
As the wheel revolves
Coming down in an instant
And going up swiftly in another
Feeling the heart palpitate in the throat
And the pulse race fast in frenzy
Trying to touch the looming stars
And the sailing cotton puffs of clouds
Or reach up to the golden orb that dazzles
Somewhere a child laughs aloud in ecsatasy
Girls giggle in unison in the chaotic environs
The mike blares with old songs
Playing on a stuttering broken record
In these few hours of leisure
Rejuvenation of life occurs
And invigorated mortals resume routine life again
After this dash of thrill…
