Everyday struggle for the brass ring..

Everyday….

We go out there….

In a search to bring in….

the one thing we all know as..

the symbolic brass ring…

Everyday….

We strap on our armour, put our horse in a saddle…

and ride full force into Corporate America,

the field of battle…

Maybe its corporate, medical or general..

no matter…

What ever is your career of choice…

we are not willing to settle….

As many of us work for the “Man”(job) for that is who pays us to be there…

If it weren’t for that fact…we probably would be elsewhere…

Everyday…

As a mother, I do understand the “GRIND”…

Always in search of the brass ring…

with great hope I will find…

That prize that looms at the end of the rainbow…

Like those who win the lottery…

I to will feel exhilaration of excessive cashflow…

Everyday…

I give great effort to produce…

that reward we call a paycheck for which I am seduced…

to constantly continue on the grind to seek…

for it is what feeds the family, keeps the lights on and everyone from living on the street…

Now ya’ll know what I’m saying…

Unless your name is Rockefeller, Gates or Buffet…

Everyone of you know is grinding

and has no choice but to tough it…

Everyday…

Searching and grinding and grinding away…

Eventually we will reach our goal

and be rewarded one day…

Many wish they didn’t have to work so hard

and going on the grind was easier…

or may be even desire to gain celebrity status….

If you think you have a plan to quicken the return,

please share, don’t hesitate to advise us…

I am apt to learn…

Everyday…

I know if I work hard and continue to grind…

The brass ring for which I search for,

I will eventually find…

With that being said, the day that I do get that pot of gold…

Hopefully, I can enjoy it before I am too old…

Brass ring? I’ve not heard the expression! Is it the same as ‘brass’, which is slang for money over here?

Great meaning for the word grind, and the ending was great. It made me chuckle. Like it!
