Poem about Jesus Christ hanging on a stake.
They nailed him to the stake,
in the middle of two others,
some say it was a bad mistake,
they were innocent claimed their mothers…..
The religious leaders were in fear,
when he taught the kingdom was near,
Pilate washed his hands,
found no wrong in Jesus the man…..
It was prophecy being fulfilled,
how the son of man would be killed,
why his very own people,
became heartless weak and feeble…..
They made a crown of thorns,
it dug deep into his head,
a whip of broken bones embedded,
left his back bleeding and torn…..
Their cast lots for his garments,
offered sour wine as a token,
poked a spear into his side,
no bones of his were broken…..
They jeered and spat at him,
a righteous man who healed the throng’s,
and as the day started to dim,
he would soon be gone…..
Came for the sinners of the world,
for every man woman boy and girl,
and shed his blood for us,
came from heaven for creatures of the dust…..
Gave his perfect life,
to free us from sin and strife,
said to pray for the kingdom,
and to the one who sent him…..
In prayer he called to his God,
Jehovah forgive them my father,
they do not know what they are doing,
and life for them will be harder…..
Let us remember it still,
when the greatest man of all,
made his last call,
on his final day on the hill…………end
