This poem talks about how we build our leaders. it centers its’ sermon against child abuse. the society not the parent alone is the builder of every leader we produce, either good or bad. the kind of training and care we give to every child goes a long way to the kind of leader he or she becomes in the future.

On the pages of a tender
There we wrote the content of our future
On these blank pages of a mind
Innocent and curious, unconsciously we planned our doom

He was a prince without a father king
He was a prince without a royal bead
He had them all,
Destiny hid them from us

He seek for royal training from royal homes
Treated with levity, turned,
Sent away into arms of caring robbers and thieves
Whom with their pen wrote on these blank pages.

At last he became the king as destined
Then they cried from the royal home
The tears that could not reverse the hands of time.
‘Oh! What a tyrant, Oh! What a devil king’

Loyalty, he owe his robber friends,
Revenge he owe the royal home
That turned him out.

When the pages of this mind were blank,
What did you write on it?
On pages of a tender heart
A potential leader of tomorrow.
