I wrote this right after my son was born it’s a combination of two poems.
Hush now my angel
you fell asleep in my arms
but your always awake in my heart
Little one as I lay you down to sleep
I pray the Lord to keep you safe for me
Sleep now my baby
On the wings of angels
and may they protect you when you slumber tonight
Sleep now my baby
Don’t be afraid
I’ll never be too far away
