Over time everything is changed!

Once there were ten big ponds   Md. Rezaul Karim, Assistant Professor, Southern University Bangladesh   Once there were ten big ponds.

It never hurts but work as panacea for wounds.

Remember how incessantly was it raining those days!

Not forget, how live fishes merrily swam over the streets-

No, how can I forget the aimless running

Me and my brother around in the rain and how it looked funny!

People lived there in town, as they live now,

Now we have building, then we had homes too.

Rain never blessed us with unblessings- clogged water,

No flood or deluge not for any time, never.

Nature mother changes its color in

Different seasons for reasons-

Feelings do changes along too-

Now all those ponds have gone, vanished in to the buildings finished.

Developments occurred,

Law passed to protect environment and nature,

Saving ponds too- when it is gone!

Rivers,

Marshlands and any open space next;

No such sweet rains pouring, or pouring but not sweet seems,

No more-

No such ponds- scarcely seen

Deluge is common, no surprising!

No such running in rain by no brothers;

Rain is no more fun rather turns to sufferings and pain.

Now drains are someone’s properties, captured

Drains are open for all but rains and water,

Turns into a big running bin under big blue sky-

When pouring rain-

A great procession of garbage floats-

Water clogged-

Blame the rain-

Don’t see own forehead

Only look at others- for

Excuses and excuses

Ain’t it full of shame!
