Something I wrote about life.

Darkness blinds my eyes,
Time unravels like twine,
Born into a world that is not my own.

I sit by the shore waiting for my boat to come in,
Lifes moments come and go without pause,
Waiting… waiting… waiting…

One day I will find my meaning,
One day I will be relieved,
Until then I’ll hold on to, enjoy, and remember what I have.

(Thank you Lord)

Hey Jasin! Great to see you back! I think there are more words in your tag line than in the poem, but short and sweet – well, bittersweet really. Very emotional.

Great poem. We fail so many times to be thankful for what we have, and to praise the one who provided it all. Well said and well done my friend.

Hey there, Jasin. Long time no see!
I like the picture here, and your free verse here is very introspective and makes us think a little more deeply about our time and meaning. Very good job, done in a few lines.
That last ‘waiting’, if I may make a suggestion: put it on the next line and tab it a few times. See if the effect is the same for you or if it helps at all. With “lives”, I think you meant “life’s”. Ciao for now and have a good day.

It’s hard to be happy when something is missing. There is a emptiness , a longing feeling there. I think you did a good job here, I enjoyed the read.

Hi Jasin, good to have you back, great poem and I think it’s safe to say we are all waiting for our ship to come in. The trick is to make the most of our time while we wait and do the work at hand. Can’t go wrong there.
