A short poem about a boy who fell in love with a dog because he reminds him about himself.
I have a little puppy,
I call him One Eye Pete.
I found him with a broken leg,
Along a dusty street.
One of his eyes were missing,
His hair was hard and dry,
He whined as though he was in pain,
As everyone passed by.
I loved him from the first day,
He was so much like me,
Because I walk with crutches,
And I can hardly see.
