Another losing season for the Chicago Cubs.

One hundred years of losing
a century’s long drought
A windy city’s torment
it’s fans in constant doubt
Maybe this season would be different
with no-hitters and homeruns
A team with youthful talent
that played like loaded guns
And with the N.L.’s best record
the Series seemed a lock
But let’s remember who is playing
as we turn back the clock
The playoffs ended quickly
as the the Dodgers blasted thru
The diehards still blamed Bartman…
our curse still running true
So now the stands are empty
the pennant still at bay
Cubs fan still are hopeful
the spring’s not far away
