Most seniors in high school look forward to two things prom and graduation…after that they have a whole life a head of them that is undetermined.

Going to pick out my dress with your mom,
wanting one thats beautiful, and fits my curves.
Sweat dripping down my body as I look at every dress,
for I can no longer contol my nerves.

Only one night to make everything special betweeen us,
planning this night for a couple weeks now to make it the best.
Hoping it will be the greatest time of my life,
knowing all to well that our lov will be put to the test.

Picking out the one that makes me feel so good,
wanting you to think I look as beautiful as I do.
Trying not to get all worked up…so many days still to come,
and on this day I hope you will feel the same way too!

The day finally comes…got so much I still need to get done,
going to the mall to get my hair, my nails, and everything else done before tonight.
Putting on the dress, starting to feel like a princess,
waking down the stairs as you come inside and I was suprised to see you in my sight.

Taking pictures before the dance while everything seems to good to be true,
but remembering on this night is when we fell in love.
Knowing I want to one day be your wife…not knowing how you feel,
enjoying the time in your arms as I get a sign from up above.

Leaving with you in my arms as the night slowly comes to an end,
hoping that every day would be just like this one when I learned how you felt.
Dancing to so many different songs while we talk about marriage,
knowing that you are saying the right words to make my heart start to melt.

Never knowing that things would never turn out how they were supposed to,
just feeling so empty and so alone when you told me you were going to make everything good.
Not knowing what you meant by those words at the time you first told me,
but now I know every word you said to me was being misunderstood.

Remembering how it felt to be with you for that time,
never knowing it would never work out how I wanted it to.
Looking back at the pictures from time to time,
while I still feel how I once felt about you.
