All I can say is One Thirty Nine…………..
Still in shock
Eyes trapped on what was worst than a bad dream
What I saw cannot be shared
Can never be spoken of
Proven by sight
No pounding of the heart
Fright froze everything
The brain dissecting what was perceived to be seen
Wrinkles crawl upon my face
Turning it slowly
It can’t be
But there it was
The truth
Steering right back at me
At this age, at this time
Never before
Never in my life
But now
Annoyance, lays so comfortable around me
Regret, speaks so openly around me
They follow me, they walk with me
Tramping hard on the ground to be heard
Ears can only image
But what I saw will never be erased
