Experiences online.

I’ve been always on my own planet
Until one day, I surf through the Internet
I started viewing different sites
And indulge every delicious bites.
**
The first site I joined is Friendster
I found a lot of buddies, mostly youngster
They came from world’s varying parts
It’s like complete selection in food carts.
**
Diverse websites are all present
Each having their unique content
They’ve got a variety of flavor
It’s up to you to savour.
**
Next is making an account in FB
A social networking site for me
Loaded with tons of features and applications
Best is chatting with your companions.
**
Then I made one in Twitter
Which till now I don’t know any better
All I know is following and follower
And posting tweets or be a direct sender.
**
One night, my mom scolded me
That I’m just playing with the PC
So I aimed to earn money online
To let her know that I’m doing fine.
**
I came across the Triond company
And I thought I might write poetry
To discover some talents in me
Thanks to the fact that it’s for free.

:) made me giggle there at the end. LOL That’s why I came to Triond too! To prove that I wasn’t just playing on the net!

  • ashan1614 on Sep 8, 2009

There are many sites out there. I’ve slowed way down on my visits to other sites since starting on Triond. I find I don’t have the time if I’m busy writing. :)

    Good write!

Too many sites can take you away from your writing. I only do Twitter so that my Triond work will be ‘out there’. And I like to follow some celebrities and contests. But I usually only check once a day. Great poem.

I believe that creative writing is never a waste of time. I enjoy reading items I wrote years ago. I have spent most of my life taking care of my responsibilities and I regret some of that.

lets hope your mum aproves, we do.

  • tim windisch on Sep 8, 2009

Well it’s certainly an intersting piece! It describes the curiousity of youth today, and more importantly it uses your brain to do so! So many kids simply surf and never find land! You’ve found it and actually stand on it and tell the world what you see! I like that! Keep it up!

    Nicely written piece

  • Babyface Jam on Sep 8, 2009

Interesting. I don’t really surf, but that didn’t take any enjoyment out of this poem. Keep it up!

  • Rick Summers on Sep 11, 2009

    very nice

  • Drake Harlem on Sep 11, 2009

Wacky. “It’s like complete selection in food carts.” That line could use a little work I think, but otherwise everything was nice. I was going to complain about putting “FB” instead of “Facebook” but then I noticed it was necessary for the rhyme so I got over it.

  • A.L.Smith on Sep 11, 2009
