…the tender rush of two. ♥

When once
We happened upon
This extreme,
This touch of life
This warmth of space
This tender rush of two

Oh, so tender steps,
did meet
At the corners
Of moving streets
The constant flux
Of mix and motion
And thoughtfulness
The conjecture
And suppositions
Left little appetite
For simple plates

The texture of you
Was never so fine
Under the moon
There he stood
There she spoke
So little left unsaid
In words unspoken
In gestures too profound
To place words upon

The sheen of diamond
Brilliance, replaced
The need for candlelit
Propositions
Only innocence
Only forever.
