Sometimes life is funny and throws you what you wanted most in your life. But then just as fast decides you dont need it and snatches it cruelly away. You can only cry for so long before you have to pick up the pieces.Put on a smile and go onto a new phase in life that isn’t what you wanted but will do in a pinch.Survival instincts takes over and that is the adrenalin that drives you when you don’t feel you can go on.

Please come inside my spacious beautiful condo,

thank you for accepting my open house invitation.

Inside the condo you will find many good deals,

I have already packed up my treasured possessions.

*****

In the bedroom you notice an antique canopy bed.

rumor has it that my grandmother once owned it.

But what good is a big bed if you have to sleep alone,

for a very good offer you can take it home with you.

****

On the bed you will see a bright red patch work quilt,

my lover and i made love there and I  remember that.

But its washed, packed and ready for a brand new home,

the lover that made love to me there wont be needing it.

****

In the huge kitchen is a heavy oak table and chair set,

in these chairs and table we talked about our future.

But here is no future to even talk about or plan out,

one single woman doesn’t need a table as big as this.

****

In the spacious living room is some velvet furniture,

we used to cuddle and watch a few movies on them.

Kiss, cuddle and tease the other as a normal couples do,

now its much easier for me to cuddle up in a new chair.

****

The porch swing could tell a story of its own you know,

me and him used to sit and watch as the cars went by.

Hold hands as we talked and sipped at our fruit juice,

maybe you and your husband could find a good use for it.

****

The pool and the hot tub are a part of the spacious condo,

I’m throwing them in with the closing of the final house sale.

The time we spend in them will remain forever in a memory,

but they have no part of a new life that I have to find now.

*****

Please take your time and go through my many many rooms,

for it all has to go so I can move to a much smaller dwelling.

For it appears that I didn’t get to keep my armored warrior,

isn’t getting the chance to plan to perfect wedding we wanted.

****

But such is life and the many twist that it has in store for us,

not all fairy tales has the prince and princess happily ever after.

But the memories of a once powerful love wont ever fade,

they and all that me and him did will stay in my heart forever.

****

So if there is something that interest you please ask me,

I’m sure we can hammer out a deal to please both parties.

For the house was  recently sold and has to be vacated soon,

I have the keys to a brand new apartment way across town.

****

What doesn’t sell will be given to a charity to benefit someone,

for someone should have a use for the things we used to cherish.

Its obvious that that both parties now have to walk separate paths,

or we both would still be making passionate love in grandmas bed.

This is very interesting when you compare this one to, “The Man in the Mirror.” Nice contrast.

Instead of selling her things, the lady in question should’ve just gone got herself a new love. Maybe I’m thinking like a man—void of sentiment.
