This includes three of my original poems, Calypso will fall, Breathe, and Darkness won’t go away.
Original Poetry Two by Michael Brideau
Calypso will fall
The Nereid of the sea,
Oh great nymph of Greece,
One of three,
We bend our knees to the ground,
To worship you,
On our vessels we climb,
Upon the waters of your body,
Our fate worse than death,
Those rocks come to crush not only our spirit,
Oh woe to our souls,
For without a vessel,
We will surely die,
We will bring you down,
We cry,
Calypso will fall,
Calypso will fall.
Breathe
Open your mouth,
Iron hands grasp,
The black shadow opens my coffin lid,
At least I feel no more pain,
Does that not mean im dead?
Tuned into the channel,
Of lost souls,
Here my blood runs cold,
Moving quickly into,
Whence I came,
I may not return,
It is perfect here,
Without the pain,
Breathe,
My lungs,
I am now aware,
I am not dead,
They fill with air,
My eyes flutter,
I remember now,
I was in a crash,
I do not falter,
I say,
Thank you.
Darkness won’t Go Away
This is not good,
The evil breathes,
I fall into the blackness,
A pit that deceives,
Crossed by the shadow,
I will not die,
This thing,
No lie,
Brought forth hate,
To which I have fallen,
It wont leave the darkness is calling,
In this place I lay,
Because,
The darkness won’t go away.
