This poem is about Osama Bin Laden. The poet reflects on the life of this slain man.

Osama

Hit by Obama

You have failed to see the summer

Of your war

Hearts of your supporters simmer

With rage

They wish to hammer your

Assailers

Osama

I have no right

To judge you

You had your reasons

But educate me

Why did you find it right

To fight the innocent

At this height of civilization?

Many celebrated

Your passing

What irony

What poetry

Isn’t death black?

I get the feeling

Yours was white

I ask myself

Will my death be black

Or white?
