Historically, this vast landmass – we call India, was known as Bharat – Varsha.The name ‘India’ was applied to the country by the Greeks.India is also home to a large and diverse population that has added to its vibrant character since ages. There are about 3,000 communities in India.To add all this, India is perhaps the only place in the world where twenty religious streams flow together.No wonder then that India is today known all over the world as the “Land of several Religions”.
India is not just a people.
India is the celestial music,
And inside that music
Anybody from any corner of the world
Can find the real significance of life.
It is easy to fall in love with India.
And remain besotted for a lifetime.
She changes hues every other mile and never
tries one with familiarity that apparently breeds contempt.
Like a woman of mystique , she doesn’t reveal all her charms at one go.
Unseen India holds a greater attraction than anything else in the world
Discovering India has been compelling obsession for the footloose,
both from far – off shores and within the country.
Some do it in luxurious style , and others do it
sluggish style moving in crowded buses and trains
or hit the road on that popular mover called motorcycle.
Every places in our country offers a rare slices of life
that add to our love for India.
Something that has always been there ,
but our lazy selves never bother to find out.
India lives in her villages, but it is the cities that provide her the muscle.
