Just a few words to you.

If wishes were,
I’d wish I’d never seen your face.
To tell my heart
a friend I could never replace.
Silence bowed
the words that carved in grace,
delicate
soured with time and place.

Unfortunate circumstance
your lips forever told its lie.
Put in a place
where your only choice , abide.
Conviction to a purpose
binds constricting, never tried.
If wishes were,
I’d give up on my pride.

If wishes were,
you would forever be faith ensued.
Words held true
and never misconstrued.
The light to darkness overcome.
Corners’ webs with you elude.
If only time caught reality
than darkest soul could be subdued.

As usual lately I end up with a feeling of melancholy after reading your poetry. Don’t give up on your pride, however. Another well-written, profound piece.

Once again I find your poetry leaves me with a feeling of melancholy. Don’t give up on your pride, however. Another well-written profound piece from a gifted writer.

So haunting, I love the last line in particular, ‘than darkest soul could be subdued’.
