Sunshine is a treasure after being cooped up for a week.

Sunshine!
Grab your coats!
Grab your hats!
Open up the door.
Lets go run and play
Kick up our heels
And Roar!

Sunshine!
Breath in
That crisp, bright air!
No more echoing gym walls
We can run if we dare!

Swing on swings!
Slide down slides!
Run and yell
Have a blast!
OUT is so much
BETTER than inside!

If only it could last!

Kids here have been lucky we have had unseasonably warm weather. its melting in Alberta in January.

Yesterday we went to a park
    Saw many
    Sliding down the snow hill
    Kids and so many elderly
I too tried a sledge boldly
    When we came down
Though it was so damned cold
    People walked the paths
    With dogs
    As children
    On swings and seesaw played
    It was a snowy day
    But like one in spring.

It is very hot here and most stay indoors for protection and to cool.
I cant wait till our winter so I can enjoy more of out side

In our part of the country, it doesn’t snow. We always have a temperature of 28 deg.C to 45 deg.C

I know that feeling so well. I used to hate it when the children had indoor playtime because their work definitely suffered afterwards. A great piece.

If we have to have cold days at least let them be sunny days. Loved your verses.
