Two friends and colleagues I use to work with got married this year I wrote this Poem for them.

Jenny and Tim met over the operating table
in a hospital theatre suite not so long ago.
Training together both young and very able
through the course just friends it was slow.
Gradually love became the bond they knew
the years ahead in unison a clear view.

Then jointly headed for those pastures new
aiming for New Zealand after a detour arrived.
It was only meant to be for a year yes it’s true
but the country grew on them so both strived.
Though a long way from their family and friends
a lovely couple now married love transcends.

Living far away from us they’ll always be near
communication’s so good easy to keep intouch.
I’m happy they’ve found a place both hold dear
let’s toast their health your missed so much.
Adventurers enjoying this gamble called life
my best wishes now your husband and wife.

It may seem rather sentimental but I’m a romantic at heart , we worked together in the local hospital. Though sadly I have to admit love has never passed my way. I do feel cheated about that after two marriages I think it was only lust. How is love defined I would like to find out. But with the two women I married it has scarred me for life. But I’m proud to say I do have four grown up children and at least nine grand children.
