Lost Love.

You are fake, that’s nothing new

In your eyes I see no truth

You try so hard just to fit in

Don’t you get it? you’ll never win

Your doing your best, so you say

It looks to me, sin leads the way

Your lameness is a saddened sight

Don’t even bother to put up a fight

The word you speak is just all hype

You used to be a different type

All the words you have are lies

All of it, a waste of time

It’s almost something sad to say

Maybe now I’ll see a better day

By myself  I’ll make it through

But I’m so done, and over you

It’s a good way to be in the face of deception ~

Ha! You must know my ex from Sacramento, eh? (J/K). This is a poem that almost reads better as lyrics to a song. You may wish to try your hand at developing a catchy hook.

I love the last two lines “By myself I’ll make it through

But I’m so done, and over you.”

Nice poem… very thoughtful and emotional! Life has twists and turns and we as humans learn to move on. Thanks for sharing!
