What happens when your creations become more human than you?

Born of metal and wire

Made of skin and bone

Eyes that see you all like new

Eyes filled with lies and truths

Head made of thoughts of calculations

Head made of thoughts of manipulation

Ears made to hear the finest sound

Ears made to shut out the noise from all around

Mouth made to tell the truth

Mouth made to lie to you

Hands made gentle as a child

Hands made overly agile

Hands made to love you

These hands created you

Given a miracle soul to sympathize

Given a miracle soul to patronize

Never having the ability to lie

Never having the ability to want to try

Created out of love and compassion

Created out of greed and compulsion

Made hollow yet soulful

Made shallow and soulless

Made to cry at the sight of this

Made to die for what was missed

I trust that what you have read so far has been informative. The following section should go a long way toward clearing up any uncertainty that may remain.

Great poem! There’s a lot to think about in it. It reminded me of Frankenstein. I wonder, which is the real monster, the human or his creation?
